Laurie
Greene, PhD, E-RYT, YBR - (director). A PhD in
anthropology, Laurie has practiced yoga since age 15, having grown
up in a "yoga family". Since then, yoga has become her
healthy addiction. Always an enthusiastic student, Laurie
combines her training in a variety of classical "hatha"
traditions, bringing insights and techniques from all
these to her eclectic teaching and practice. Training
extensively in the Iyengar tradition, emphasis is on safety,
technique and proper alignment so that students will get the
greatest benefits from their practice, and easily experience the
joy that yoga affords every fitness level.
Laurie is also certified in Vinyasa flow and is registered with
the Yoga Alliance as an "experienced teacher" and
trainer. Her continuing exploration of classical and
newer interpretations of Astanga Vinyasa have led her to study
with many amazing teachers; and to all of them she is forever
grateful. The studio has become a place where many of these and
new teachers gather and continue to inspire. Having
completed her 500 hour certification with the wonderful Edward
Clark & Elizabeth Connelly, Laurie's passion lies in blending
many styles into a practice that is instructive, creative and fun.
By all accounts, Laurie is is married to the greatest man that
has ever graced this earth (Joe), and they are the proud parents
of three "grown" children (XOXO).

Diane
Leiner,
RYT- Diane found yoga late in her forties and was immediately attracted to it.
Forever wanting but unable to meditate by "emptying the mind," she finds the
meditation in movement and breathing of yoga accessible. Tending to be a
loner in physical fitness she finds, for the first time, the class format
preferable and often necessary for motivation and instruction. Diane has a
home in Cape May Court House, is the mom at the beach to four grown children
and works as a legal secretary. As a yoga teacher, Diane enjoys encouraging
others who have come to yoga later in life seeking to improve all aspects of
their health -- a reminder that it is never too late to start and keep that
motivation going. Diane has completed her teacher training with Laurie
Greene of Yoga Nine, a true inspiration, with significant mentoring from

Chuck Parisi-
Six years ago yoga found Chuck Parisi,
A stressed out restaurant chef with sciatic nerve pain from too
much work. Over the course of those six years yoga has lead Chef
Chuck to a much happier place. Instead of restaurant work, Chuck
now works as a private chef specializing in healthy innovative
cuisine. A life without working restaurant hours gave Chuck the
time to pursue a certification in personal training. Training
clients out of the Ocean Club in Manahawkin, Chuck is able to
teach people not only how to exercise their way towards their
health and fitness goals, but also how to eat healthy satisfying
foods. Chuck's dedication to his own yoga practice lead him to
begin teaching "Power Yoga" classes at the gym, where
he explains to students that the power is not just in your body,
but mostly in your mind. A firm believer that exercise should
feel good, Chuck's classes are intense, and challenging, while
also energizing and empowering. Hoping to dispel the American
myth that yoga is only for contortionists, Chuck's teaching
focuses on strength, endurance, balance, agility, flexibility,
and staying calm and cool, (even in the sweatiest situations!)
Chuck travels to study with many skilled teachers in the area,
and is currently completing teacher training with Laurie Greene
and Edward Clark at Yoga Nine.

Tonya Dinofrio, RYT
- Tonya has been a fitness enthusiast for the past 23 years. Many years of competitive cycling, combined with a few mountain biking accidents, left her with chronic low back pain. Trying conventional treatments with no relief, she eventually found that daily yoga and pranayama practice offered the best release. The stability and strength gained through yoga practice have transcended all other areas of her life, including cycling. She's thankful that her husband and 3 children encourage and support her love of yoga and are becoming interested in the practice themselves. As a devoted Christian, Tonya believes that yoga is for everyone and that we each take from the practice what is needed to enrich our lives mentally, physically, and spiritually at that moment.

Karyn Chin RYT
- Karyn was introduced to yoga in 1998 in a high school gym

and college. In 2004 Karyn was reintroduced to yoga by a close friend. She
immediately felt a connection to the peacefulness and also the power of a
yoga practice. Inspired by yoga, she made an adventurous move to
Philadelphia. During her stay in Philly she studied Power Vinyasa Yoga under
Bill Raup and completed a 200 hour yoga instructor course. Anyone who
says "yoga's not for me" or especially "I'm not flexible enough" are Karyn's
favorite students. Karyn is interested in sharing her passion for yoga by
making it fun, accessible, and challenging for people of all levels, ages,
and abilities.
